As one of the longest established Estate Agents in the local area, Osborn Franking has been at the forefront of property marketing in Steyning, Upper Beeding and the surrounding areas since 1968.
Originally David Humphreys opened its premises next door to the Post Office in Brunswick Road, Shoreham. Following their rapid success, they soon outgrew this office and within 3 years the business moved to larger premises at 32/34 Brunswick Road. In 1973 the Company expanded by opening a further office in Steyning which was situated adjacent to the Law Courts.
Stuart Osborn joined the Shoreham branch in 1976 and later went on to manage the Steyning office. In 1987 he was invited to join David as a partner in the business and the name was changed to Osborn Humphreys. Following David’s retirement in 2002 Stuart moved the office to ‘Milestones’, 25 High Street, one of the oldest buildings in Steyning, A ‘Wealden’ house built circa 1480.
In 2019 Benjamin Frankling the former branch manager of Osborn Humphreys took over from Stuart Osborn following his retirement and renamed the business ‘Osborn Frankling’, bringing the business into the new modern age.
After updating our business model, it has become more and more apparent that customers prefer to search for properties, book valuations and viewings from the comfort of their own home via the internet and phone and the days of popping into your local estate agent’s office are long gone. Osborn Frankling prides itself in being in touch with its customers and having a modern innovative approach to marketing and selling property. So, in Autumn 2024 we decided to close our shop front style office and move into new serviced offices still located in Steyning, together with our newly renovated head office (Company registered address) in Shoreham.
This allows us to streamline our business model and help us concentrate more time on contacting potential buyers and sellers and enhancing our personal approach. The office will still enable us to have face to face meetings as and when required.
